Keep in mind that The Feed is intended to share important (and sometimes entertaining) information with other users of the site. Posts that are more personal in nature should not be included but feel free to share those among your friends.
A Few Rules: While free speech is valued here, there are some rules to keep in mind. In general, if everyone acts like grown-ups who are trying to tackle real issues of our day, then we shouldn’t have a problem. With that said…
- Don’t spam. It’s annoying, and it clutters the feed and makes it less usable. Your ability to post will be throttled if you can’t keep it in check so only @thefeed for your best, most important stuff. Remember, we are trying to help keep each other informed.
- No threats of violence against any individual or group.
- No doxing (personal info). Publicly available professional contact information for Politicians, Businesses, and Business Leaders is not an issue.
- No racism (real racism not the woke stuff).
- No anti-Semitism
- Nothing sexual in nature. Content that is informative to a specific public issue, although sensitive in nature, is acceptable. Instagram photos of Russian bikini models is not.
- Absolutely no dad jokes. Just kiddin’, please share your dad jokes here.
These rules apply primarily to content that shows up in the feed or is posted publicly on your own activity. However, all post reports will be investigated and removed if deemed to be outside the lines.
Want to be banned? Post porn. The punishment is swift and permanent and you get no warnings. If you aren’t sure if it qualifies, don’t do it. This applies everywhere on the site. If it’s found, you’re done.
